Last week I was put on the spot by my program director in an 'all-hands' meeting. He was speaking about how we are going to improve process and insist on better process. He mentioned that they had not had a dedicated resource on the project for process. Then he looked up and pointed at me and said "Now we do. Arvind here will be helping implement the process."
Now I am on the hook for three huge process implementation by the end of May!! I have to help implement a SharePoint document management solution to replace our shared drive. I have to implement ClearCase for developers including training them on the usage. Then I also have to upgrade ClearQuest so that it is compatible with IE7 that is soon to be introduced in the environment. On top of all that I have to continue to learn Quality Center so I can be an effective backup administrator.
It is scary and exciting to be put on the spot like that.
I also continue enjoying myself playing a stock market game on a site called UPDOWN.
